Foundation  “ Dialog For  Development” is nongovernmental  organization which works to develop  civil society  and  democracy  in Georgia. Our members and partners realize monitoring of different sectors of social life and State organizations. Our  Foundation  works  actively  on the  development  of  democratic  mass media  space  in Georgia. In this direction we fulfill projects and programs which help to develop press in the internet space also.

 

 After the beginning of Russian-Georgian conflict on the territory of Kvemo Kartli and Abkhazia, many persecuted people moved to Tbilisi and other big cities. Approximate amount of chased people is said to be 150 hundred. Most of them moved to Tbilisi during the first days of conflict, and then the government moved them into other regions, what complicated the process of humanitarian mission - giving out the food, medicine and other necessary things.

 

From the beginning of the war our organization actively cooperated with humanitarian mission in Georgia. Foundation “Dialog For Development” visited the settlements of the displaced people, elaborated  general system  for  keeping  the record  of  persecuted  families and  we  classified their basic needs. We also cooperate with the Ministry of Refugees and Accommodation and with the Office of the UN High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR). Youth wave of “GUAM” (Georgia, Ukraine, Azerbaijan, and Moldova) is also our partner and together we work to help people who are left without homes. We think that to help people is everyone’s duty.
